Miami Could Replace New York As World’s Financial Center, Ken Griffin Says

George Clooney is paddling back through historic waters with latest film “The Boys in the Boat.” Clooney, who directs the historical drama, uses a script penned by Mark L. Smith, adapted from Daniel James Brown’s nonfiction book following the incredible true story of the 1936 University of Washington men’s crew team. The official synopsis reads: Based on the bestselling non-fiction novel about the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympic games, this true story follows a group of underdogs at the height of the Great Depression as they’re thrust into the spotlight and take on elite international rivals.

Grand Hyatt: Latest Construction Update Unveiled For One of the Largest Hotels in Miami Beach History

Miami Beach has shared an update on the advancement of the Grand Hyatt Convention Center Hotel, set to become one of the city’s largest developments. In a letter addressed to city commissioners dated November 17, developer MB Mixed Use Investment, LLC communicated a delay in the property possession date.


Having already invested $20 million in the project, the developer is now seeking additional time to secure the remaining 12% of financing necessary for the $600 million venture. Simultaneously, ongoing site work ensures that the project is ready to commence immediately upon finalizing the financing. The foundation permit has been issued, and it is expected that the vertical permit will be granted by early 2024.

A recently opened wood-fired restaurant in Wynwood, the focus is not only on using fire as a cooking method but also as an integral part of the dining adventure.
Chef Calvin Daniele, originally from Argentina, leads the culinary team and has crafted a menu highlighting dishes primarily prepared in a wood oven. “My upbringing in Argentina was filled with memories centered around the grill, and I aimed to capture that narrative at Log,” explained Daniele. “We rely on the wood ovens for about 90 percent of the menu, creating a unique dining experience.”
