Bal Harbour Shops

The Bal Harbour Shops are currently in full bloom this month as the Fleurs de Villes exhibition makes a delightful return. From March 1 to March 10, visitors can wander through the outdoor mall and marvel at the dozens of larger-than-life mannequins adorned with bespoke living garments created by top florists. These floral designs are inspired by renowned female artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Georgia O’Keeffe, perfectly complementing this year’s theme, Artiste, in celebration of International Women’s Month.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of orchids at the Fairchild during this delightful two-day festival dedicated to celebrating these coveted blooms. Explore a diverse array of vendors offering rare and exquisite orchids for purchase, attend engaging lectures and how-to sessions, and enjoy orchid-inspired activities suitable for the whole family at this cherished annual event. As you wander through the garden, you’ll encounter over 50,000 stunning orchids, including the esteemed heritage collection from the American Orchid Society (AOS).

Beethoven on the Beach

Orchestra Miami presents its annual beach concert series featuring a special guest soloist, Aaron Merritt, a principal cellist who will mesmerize the audience with Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, Op. 33. The program, set under the stars, also includes the captivating Overture to Don Giovanni by Mozart and the exuberant “Italian” Symphony No. 4 in A Major by Mendelssohn. Delight in Beethoven’s Overture to the ballet The Creatures of Prometheus, Op. 43. Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi will lead the 42 musicians of Orchestra Miami. Beethoven on the Beach has various locations and dates at the Miami Beach Bandshell, Banyan Bowl in Pinecrest Gardens and Gateway Park in Sunny Isles Beach.

Cabaret

March 14th- April 7th

As the 1920s draw to a close in Berlin, a charismatic master of ceremonies invites the audience to escape their troubles at the Cabaret. Through the emcee’s lively songs, which serve as ironic commentary, Cabaret explores the gritty, alluring, and tumultuous lives of Berlin’s locals and expatriates as Germany transitions into the emerging Third Reich. The introduction of Cliff, a young American writer, sets the stage for his fascination with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, the owner of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house, cautiously embarks on a romance with Herr Schultz, a kind-hearted fruit seller who happens to be Jewish.

State of Kid is teaming up with Lalo to present an outdoor concert series for children called Lalo-palooza! Come and be part of the excitement every Saturday starting March 9th for a complimentary family music series featuring Jam with Jamie in Palm Court. The Art of the Brick Lego Exhibition
